Gratitude - it's powerful stuff! (To skip to the guided meditation video, scroll down...) 1. When you notice yourself feeling irritated and grrrouchy, pause, take a breath into your belly, and think of one person you're grateful to have in your life. Imagine them smiling with you. 2. When you notice yourself feeling sad and starting to head down that feeling low road, pause, take a breath into your belly. Think about one thing that you love about yourself (or at least like!). Smile to that part of yourself. Find a rock that will fit in your pocket. Throughout your day, when you're feeling down, or happen to touch the rock in your pocket - hold onto that rock and remind yourself of a part of yourself that you're grateful for. 3. When you notice your energy dropping, pause, take a breath into your belly, open your eyes and take a look around you. Find at least one beautiful thing in the world around you. It doesn't have to be conventionally beautiful, just something you appreciate and find beautiful. Drink it in, and keep that image with you in your heart throughout the day to keep you going. Below is a guided meditation video infusing your relaxation with gratitude. Rate your anxiety or sadness on a scale of 1-10 before and after doing the meditation and feel the power of gratitude!
